NWSL Boston Internships

We're currently recruiting a select few interns for the Summer of 2024.

The Internship

BUSP will welcome a few select interns to the club during the summer of 2024. These interns will be part of a small team and will have the exciting opportunity to contribute during a critical phase of the organization’s development. 

Interns will gain hands-on work experience and will learn directly from BUSP leadership and staff, with responsibilities crossing over into all areas of the team’s operations. In addition to supporting ongoing efforts, each intern will be assigned a specific project in an area such as community relations, data analysis, branding, content, or more, depending on the intern’s prior experience and coursework and the organization’s needs.

    Taking full ownership for the assigned project or area of focus, including preparation of a project schedule, regular check ins with an assigned staff member, and a final presentation of the end result to team leadership;

    Providing administrative and logistical support for the development and execution of day-to-day operations;

    Attending and assisting with the planning, promotion, and execution of public and private meetings and other events;

    Following up on inbound communications and initiating external outreach;

    Preparing meeting materials, attending internal and external meetings, and taking meeting notes; 

  • 6

    Representing BUSP in a manner consistent with its vision and values; and other duties as assigned.

    Highly motivated and passionate about working in sports

    Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills

    Detail-oriented and organized; flexible with the ability to multitask

    Connection to and strong understanding of the City of Boston

  • 5

    Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, along with an ability to learn new platforms such as Airtable and HubSpot

    Legally authorized to work full-time in the United States for the duration of the internship

  • 7

    Available to attend occasional evening or weekend commitments as needed

  • Location

    Boston, Massachusetts.  Able to work both remotely and in-person on a regular basis and to travel as necessary to attend meetings. 

  • Compensation

    $15/hour

Boston Unity Soccer Partners (BUSP) looks forward to bringing the newest expansion team entering the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) to the city of Boston, with play beginning in 2026.

Meet The Founders

JENNIFER EPSTEIN

Jennifer has had a front row seat to developing a beloved sports franchise- her family became co-owners and managing partners of the Boston Celtics in 2002. She is the co-founder of Wildlife Hospitality— the creator of award-winning Boston restaurant concepts like The Beehive. Jennifer is the founder of Juno Equity, a fund backing women-led companies, and a Trustee for the Institute of Contemporary Art where she created a fund for female artists.

STEPHANIE CONNAUGHTON

Stephanie is a strategic marketer, innovator and brand builder, having led the creation of over 7 brands including the Gillette Venus. She invented a yoga mat anchored by 4 utility patents and counts herself as one of Boston’s experts on early stage consumer start-ups advising dozens of companies in our city. She is an avid Patriots Fan, Harvard Collegiate Lacrosse Player, and her family is part of the investor/founder group and Board Member of the Boston Celtics.

AMI KUAN DANOFF

Ami is a philanthropic innovator and tech investor, co-founding the Women’s Foundation of Boston which funds high impact programs serving the women and girls of Greater Boston. Ami is the lead funder of Raxia, an AI-powered platform for revenue cycle management. A former Putnam portfolio manager and Fidelity equity analyst, Ami graduated from Harvard and holds dual MS degrees from MIT Sloan. She is a Harvard Quantum Founder and a member of the Harvard FAS Dean’s Council.

ANNA PALMER

Anna is an entrepreneur and experienced investor, investing in early stage companies as a General Partner at Flybridge Capital and co-founding XFactor Ventures— one of the most active seed funds backing female entrepreneurs. She is a Harvard Law graduate, passionate soccer fan, and a long-time member of the American Outlaws U.S. Soccer supporters group.
